Lambert Vegter


Lambert is a media professional from Hilversum/The Netherlands. In 1970 he became Head of PR & Promotions with Basf Records. In 1976 he joined CBS Records as Manager Artists Development. In 1978 Lambert started his own music exploitation company: Pure Gold Music B.V. In that position he was appointed as consultant international affairs for 12 Star S.A. in Luxembourg, a media company specialized in the exploitation and distribution of music, television-program and film projects.

In 1986 Lambert established the European Entertainment Company B.V., an international media marketing company including several divisions as EEC Television, Telewall Benelux and EEC Promotions. In 1995 he sold the EEC company and from then, he is senior consultant for the 12 Star ‘mother’ company Vanilla Holding Luxembourg S.A. His impressive track record shows the following highlights:

  • As Manager PR & Promotions he was responsible for the successes of acts like : Jackpot, Tumbleweeds, Freddy Breck. Viola Wills and George McGray
  • At CBS records he was intensively involved in the international carreers of: Vicky Leandros, Gerard Lenorman, Dave, Rafaella Carra. and Costa Cordalis
  • Pure Gold Music’s artist roster included a.o. the following ‘golden’ artists: Plastic Bertrand, Donna Summer, Hank the Knife & The Jets
  • During the EEC period Vegter supervised the following projects:
    • Swatch MTV Euroroadshow
    • The launch of the international dance act 24/7
    • Marlboro Music Tours
    • Peter Ustinov 70th Birthday Gala
  • With 12 Star Vegter developed the television version of the int. radio show The Europarade, a Pan European Serie. as well as the series The Stadium Talks, the format for the daily dance/musicshow ‘Club MTV’, T.O.P. for USA Network, the German family program ‘4 Gegen Willie’ [vidiwall technics and presentation]
